Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Imagine a world where every child has books...

With Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, they can! The Imagination Library helps set children up for success by putting books into the hands and hearts of children across the world.

Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader

Children who grow up with books are inspired to dream more, do more, and be more! Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, kids in Stark County can receive a free book every month until they’re five years old. Kids may add up to 60 books in their personal library!

Sign your children up today and start building your child’s free personal library!

About the Imagination Library: Inspired by her father’s inability to read and write, Dolly Parton started the Imagination Library for the children within her home county and now has participating communities within the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Republic of Ireland. So far, the program has gifted nearly 130 million books to more than 1,452,000 children since 1995!

About the Governor’s Imagination Library: Ohio First Lady DeWine saw the impact the Imagination Library had in her own family and wanted every child in Ohio to have the same opportunity. In 2019 she established the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library, which matches funds to help offset the cost of the program for local affiliates.

Stark County's Imagination Library is brought to the children of Stark County by Stark Library, United Way of Greater Stark County, and other area libraries: North Canton Public Library, Massillon Public Library, Rodman Public Library, Canal Fulton Public Library, Minerva Public Library and Louisville Public Library.

We are proud to invest in our children's future by putting books in the hands of children right here in our own community, where nearly half of the children are below the poverty level.

United Way of Greater Stark County

Studies show that a child who grows up impoverished is six times more likely to drop out of high school. They are behind before they even start!

A Lifetime of Opportunity for Only a Few Dollars

It doesn’t take much to set a child up for success. Including the match from the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library, just $62.50 will fund one child fully for the five-year program. Together, let's build a solid foundation today for a brighter tomorrow.
