Stark Mini Maker Faire® Returns for 4th Year
April 18, 2019 (Canton, Ohio) –Stark Library is excited to welcome back the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth—the fourth annual Stark Mini Maker Faire® on Saturday, May 4 at the Main Library in downtown Canton from 10 am to 3 pm. This family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness is a celebration of the Maker Movement.
Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an award-winning, family-friendly event, celebrating technology, education, science, arts, crafts, engineering, food, sustainability, and more. Makers that will be exhibiting are tech enthusiasts, crafters, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, authors, or artists. Exhibitors will share their making activities with the public through unique demonstrations and instructions
Marianna DiGiacomo, Director of Community Services, is excited to welcome the event back for a fourth year. “The Stark Mini Maker Faire is one of our most popular events of the year. It celebrates the creativity and resourcefulness in our own backyard with an eclectic variety of interests—from fiber arts, crafting, STEM, and much more” said DiGiacomo. “There’s something for every interest to explore.”
More information is available at www.StarkLibrary.org/MakerFaire or by calling 330-452-0665. The event is free and open to the public and is appropriate for all ages. Registration is not required and attendees can come and go as they please in this open-house style event. The event is not designed to be an arts or crafts faire, so items will not be for sale at the Library. Stark Mini Maker Faire is independently organized and operated under license from Maker Media, Inc.
