November 4, 2016 (Canton, Ohio) – The Perry Sippo Branch of Stark County District Library invites patrons to join Dan Moldea, organized crime specialist, political corruption investigator and bestselling author, on November 22 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

This free event will feature a discussion on Moldea’s latest book, Confessions of a Guerrilla Writer, followed by a question and answer session and book signing. Friends of the Library volunteers will have additional copies of the book available for purchase the night of the event.

Akron native Dan Moldea has been a specialist on organized crime and political corruption investigations since 1974. A bestselling author and independent investigative journalist, Moldea will share insights from his book, Confessions of a Guerrilla Writer, and from his work as an independent-investigative consultant.

Moldea has lectured about the Mafia and crime in America since 1983, speaking at over a hundred colleges and universities, as well as to a variety of civic organizations and professional associations. He was also featured in the 2004 Nickolas Perry-Harry Thomason film, The Hunting of the President. He is the author of eight non-fiction books including The Hoffa Wars, The Hunting of Cain, The Killing of Robert F. Kennedy, and Evidence Dismissed.

“We’re excited to have such a dynamic author visit with us this fall. Dan’s insightful and thought provoking works are sure to generate conversation in the community,” said Marianna DiGiacomo, community services director. “We like to call this type of community conversation “sharing smart” and it’s a great example of how we work to be the community’s Smart Store.”

Registration is requested for this free event due to limited seating. For more information about upcoming author events and to register, visit or call 330-477-8482. The Perry Sippo Branch is located at 5710 12th Street NW, Canton, OH 44708.
