Family Holiday Event Listing for Stark County District Library

November 15, 2016 (Canton, Ohio) – Stark County District Library is celebrating the 2016 Holiday season with several programs and events for all age groups at branch locations in Stark County. Events include a Gingerbread House Extravaganza, special story times, crafts, a Polar Express Party, meetings with Santa Claus and more. All events are free, but registration is requested, if indicated, due to limited seating.
A schedule of events to get you in the holiday spirit is listed below:

Thursday Dec 1 6-8 p.m., Main Library

Santa Claus is coming! Visit the library during Canton’s annual launch of the holiday season for entertainment, crafts, and, of course, the jolly old elf himself.

Gingerbread House Extravaganza
Submit entries starting Nov 28
Entries on display Dec 1-23, Main Library
715 Market Ave. N, Canton
Design and build a gingerbread creation and bring it to the Main Library to decorate the Children’s Department.

Here Comes Santa Claus (In Partnership with Stark Parks)
Saturday Dec 3 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Perry Sippo Branch

Bring your cameras and visit Santa at the library. Continue the holiday celebration throughout Exploration Gateway with crafts, stories, live animals, refreshments and musical entertainment.

Pysanky Holiday Eggs (Sponsored by Lake Community Friends of the Library)
Tuesday Dec 6, 3-5 p.m., Lake Community Branch
656 Market Ave. SW, Uniontown
Children will learn this folk art and make their own holiday egg. Registration is required. Class size limited. Grade 4 and up with a caregiver.
