Celebrate Furry Friends at Library’s Pet Expo
June 1, 2018 (Canton, Ohio) – Calling all pet lovers! Celebrate all things furry at the Pet Expo at the Main branch of Stark Library on Saturday, June 9 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Families can enjoy a mutt strut, watch a variety of animal demonstrations, make a craft, read a favorite story to a furry friend and more.
The schedule of activities and demonstrations includes:
9 a.m. Learn about therapy cats with Lynette Roberts and make cat crafts
10 a.m. Learn about reptiles with Herps Alive Rescue
Noon Agility demonstration with Medina Swarm
1 p.m. Participate in the Mutt Strutt in the back parking lot
3 p.m. Therapy Dog Qualification Demo with Jennifer Smith and 4H
3:30 p.m. Detection Services Demo with American Blue Collar Canine
3:45 p.m. Dog Obedience Demo with Northeast Dog Training
The Library is also accepting donations to help support local animal care organizations including The Humane Society of Stark County and Friends of the Pound from May 21 to June 9th. Items can be dropped off at Main Library. Wish list items include litter, pet food, bleach, Dawn liquid, pet shampoo, paper towels, leashes, copy paper and bedding (i.e. sheets, towels, pillow cases, etc.).
