Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Stark County District Library (FOL) are dedicated organizations whose mission is to assist and promote the Library through volunteer efforts. The FOL is making a difference in our community as they:

  • Underwrite staff training
  • Provide Staff Appreciation Events
  • Sponsor informative programs and events for members and the public
  • Raise money through used book sales
  • Provide equipment and services outside the library's budget
  • Support "Vote Libraries"
  • Grant scholarships to library employees working toward a MLIS degree
  • Support projects such as The Novel Event and Poetry Month events
  • Promote literacy for infancy to teen

The Stark County District Library has incorporated, 501(c)(3) Friends of the Library groups at:
