We strengthen the lives of your friends, family, and those you have never met in Stark County, continually evolving to meet changing needs as we work towards our vision of a thriving, literate, and equitable community.
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
More than 10,000 Stark County children get a free book each month with this program.
“We love the Imagination Library program! My daughter is so excited to get her new book each month. It supplements our trips to the public library and gets her excited about entering kindergarten as well.” – a happy parent
Your Gift Counts
Each of these stories represents just one person or family, but similar stories happen daily inside our libraries and in the community. Our Library staff is a dedicated team that works tirelessly to fulfill the Library’s mission.
Will you please consider making a donation to help the Library transform our community? Every gift, regardless of the amount, makes a difference in someone’s life.
Books by Mail
Many adults in our community are homebound and can’t come to the Library.
102-year-old Katherine, one of our homebound patrons, loves the Books by Mail program. Each month she receives a stack of books handpicked by the outreach staff. Katherine appreciates the personal care that goes into her selections and shares that the books offer her a window to the world.
Summer Fun School
During the summer, our bookmobiles regularly visited underserved neighborhoods in the Canton City School district. This summer, they even provided meals and activities to help keep children’s minds and bodies fed and ready to learn.
“Thank you for coming to Skyline Terrace. Everything was so enjoyable. Stark Library is special to us.”
Spark Curiosity
The visit from astronaut and author Nicole Stott inspired a young astronaut-to-be to dream big.
“I met an astronaut, and guess what... she was a girl astronaut!” – Ruby Rogers
