When will MY branch open?
This is the question we have heard the most in the past several months.
We’ve been carefully re-opening our branches, implementing safety protocols to protect staff and patrons, over the past several weeks. We started with DeHoff Memorial branch, and this week opened the Lake Community and Madge Youtz branches. We’re so happy to be back in the community again!
Good News! Your branch will be opening soon, too.
We are delighted to share that all branches will open by the end of August! As you know, the pandemic situation may change quickly, which could affect the timeline. Here’s a glimpse at the planned schedule:
The week of August 3, 2020
- Sandy Valley Branch
- Perry Sippo Branch
The week of August 10, 2020
- North Branch
- East Canton Branch
The week of August 17, 2020
- Jackson Community Branch
- Plain Community Branch
The week of August 24, 2020
- Main Library
Anyone entering our buildings is required to wear a mask, covering their nose and mouth. We’ll be happy to provide a mask if you don’t have one. We also encourage safe social distancing while in our buildings.
I’m not ready to go in just yet.
That’s ok! If you aren’t comfortable visiting inside of the building, you can still get your materials with our Library to Go service.
The second most common question we hear is “When can I return my items?”
If you’re still holding on to your stockpile, you’ll be glad to hear that as of this Friday, July 24, 2020, book drops at all locations will be open! These book drops are drive through only – we are not accepting materials at Library to Go appointments.
