Have you heard? Stark Library is getting a facelift!

We are beginning the project to Re|imagine our library buildings for the 21st Century, beginning with North Branch! Re|imagine is our plan to make each branch an inviting space that inspires and empowers our community to pursue creativity and lifelong learning.

Our community showed their belief and good faith in us by passing a new levy in 2019 and we are committed to being good stewards of the dollars entrusted to us by our taxpayers.

About North Branch

North Branch, which was built in 1962, was last renovated in 2001. This beautiful branch will be the first to be upgraded with décor and features to make the library a place where patrons want to spend their day. It will be upgraded with new technology, including laptop lending and self-check stations, comfortable furniture, study rooms, and so much more.

What to expect while the branch is closed

Our last day of service at North Branch is Saturday, February 6th, and the branch will be closed for about five months. We will share updates and re-opening news regularly via email during the closure.

While we’re closed, we’ll do our best to provide alternate ways to access library materials and services. The bookmobile will be on-site at the parking lot adjacent to the branch at scheduled times for patrons to pick up holds and access other library services. The bookmobile will not be open for browsing.

Bookmobile Schedule* Beginning February 8th

Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays | 9 am – 1 pm

Tuesdays | 3 – 7 pm

Thursdays | 11:30 am – 3:30 pm

Fridays | Closed

* Subject to change in emergency or public health situations

Library-to-Go Services

Library to Go is easy to use. Just reserve online, use our mobile app, or call 330.452.0665. Choose your branch as the pickup location. A notification will be sent when holds are ready. They will be available for pick up at the bookmobile during listed hours.

Print to the Bookmobile

Printing services will still be available. Wirelessly send a document via phone or computer right to the printer on the bookmobile! Just upload the document at StarkLibrary.org/PrintNorth and get a notification when the document is ready for pickup.

Fax | Copy |Scan

These services will be available from the bookmobile using safe protocols.

Digital Services

The 24/7 Digital Library is always available! It’s an easy way to access eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines, stream movies, music, and TV shows 24/7 from the comfort of home

Of course, our other branches are open for those who prefer to visit us in person.
