Get ready to say 'hi' to your favorite librarians!
The moment you’ve been waiting for is finally here: We have begun Phase 3: Re-Opening Branches! Lake Community and Madge Youtz branches will begin welcoming patrons again on Tuesday, July 21!
Last week, we re-opened the DeHoff Memorial Branch. Since then, we have tested safety measures that we plan to introduce at all our branches, including:
- Signs and floor decals
- Acrylic barriers
- Computer appointments
- Limiting building capacity and visit times
- Cleaning standards and protocols
At every step along the way, your safety and that of our staff have been taken into consideration. You’ll be able to do almost everything you could prior to the pandemic, but we are taking some additional safety precautions.
Much like everywhere else, we will be limiting the number of people in each branch and observing social distancing. We also ask that you limit your visit to one hour a day.
Thank you for respecting our community by wearing a mask. A mask is required to enter our buildings. If you don’t have one, we’ll be glad to provide it.
And, of course, if you aren’t feeling well, please stay home and visit another time.
We know you’ve been anxious to return your library materials – and now you can!
Drive-through, drop off services are now available at the Lake Community, Madge Youtz, North, Perry Sippo, and Plain branches. The buildings are not open to the public yet, so look for the book drop and drive right up! These materials will be quarantined for 4 days before they are checked in and come off your account. More drop off locations will come soon.
We are re-opening branches slowly, so we can step back if necessary, but hope to open all branches by the end of August. We’ll be releasing the full re-opening schedule in the coming weeks, so be sure to watch your email and our website for the latest updates.
We can’t wait to see you and give you a virtual hug!
